The threat of supplier power is moderate. There are only a select few organic producers that make up a large percentage of the organic food processed. Since a large number of 81 companies in 1995, the corporations that produce the majority of the organic food has been limited to approximately 15 (Remington, 2014). Competitive Rivalry In the industry, competition is high in most areas of the United States. There are usually two to three Supermarkets in a given location depending on the population. Whole Foods has an advantage with the organic and natural food buying trends, but many other businesses in the industry such as Kroger, Costco, etc. have taken notice to the trend. Threat of Substitution Whole Foods Market has a great selection of natural and organic foods trending previously mentioned. The threat of substitution is high though. One reason this is true is due to the ââ¬Å"superstoresâ⬠such as Wal-Mart and Target. Consumers can go to those stores to have a one store shopping experience for everything from food to clothing. Also, though the revenue in the industry, mostly goes to the top 50 stores, there still exists local markets and farmers that communities would rather support over the larger stores such as Whole Foods in the area. Does ALDIââ¬â¢S low cost strategy imply that the company offers low quality? Why is quality important, regardless of competitive strategy? * No. ALDIââ¬â¢S low cost strategy does not imply that the company offers low quality of product but rather a high quality despite the use of low cost in producing the said product for they acquire good quality products to the vetted suppliers. Even though they minimizes each of the costs that they use in developing and producing a product they still ensure that they produce it with high quality to offer good quality product to its valued customers. I was re-filling the linens cart with fresh sheets and blankets when I heard a troubled voice come from the room to my right. I parked the cart to the side and looked to see what was going on. I entered the room and faced an older woman with her leg in a cast and arms flailing in the air. Her head jerked from side to side with a confused look on her face. The words rolled off my lips without any warning, ââ¬Å"Whatââ¬â¢s wrong? Can I help you with anything Maââ¬â¢am?â⬠as I ran to the side of her bed. She told me she had been searching for the remote to her T.V.. I figured she must have dropped it or it was lost in her blanket. I went over to her and she exclaimed, ââ¬Å"I just had it! I just had it!â⬠. I searched her whole room, under the side table, under her bed, under everywhere. We will write a custom essay sample on Why Was She So Mad? or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page As I was frantically looking for the remote control, she asked me to help adjust the pillow that had been elevating her leg. Without even thinking, I instantly was fluffing and moving the pillow to her comfort with one hand and helping her lift her leg with the other. After I finally found the remote control under her left leg, I walked out of her room with a feeling that I had just helped someone who was in need of it. Sure it was a simple act but but that did not matter. I had a smile on my face and bounce to my step as I exited her room after, what I considered, saving the day. I grabbed the linen cart I had parked outside and a hand was suddenly on my shoulder. I spun around thinking I was going to be thanked by one of the nurses. I did not need recognition but I figured they might think of me as something more than just a volunteer that puts papers in folders and pillows in cases. However, this was not the case. In front of me stood a tall woman with blond hair wearing green scrubs. She spoke to me in a stern yet quiet voice, ââ¬Å"Did you just come out of room 112?â⬠I nodded and stated, ââ¬Å"Yes,â⬠with utmost confidence. The nurseââ¬â¢s face dropped and asked, ââ¬Å"Why would you go in there?â⬠What did she mean? My job is to go around to all the rooms and see if anyone needed anything? Why was she so mad? ââ¬Å"You were given packets upon packets to read and memorize. You attended numerous meetings and training sessions so you were prepared for this,â⬠she told me. As the words poured out of her mouth I quickly looked over her shoulder, saw a green rectangle with white block letters reading, ROOM 112 and under that was a sign that we learned about. If there is one of these isolation signs on the outside of the door I was told to get a nurse. However, that did not occur to me during those two seconds when I heard her shrieks. As the nurse continued to ramble on, it suddenly dawned on me. This was what I wanted to do with my life, I want to be a nurse. Whether it was helping my Grandma paint her nails when she was sick, or holding ice packs to my brothers wounds after their hockey games, helping people was something that came second nature to me. This incident gave me confidence that I have the right mindset and characteristics needed to become a great nurse. I will be there for my patients like I was there for my family members and the woman that lost the remote control. In college, I look forward to continuing to help others and being there for whomever possible, even if it means getting a stern talking to every once in awhile.

Simple Crier (to Shout) Verb Conjugations in French To shout or to scream in French uses the verbà crier. Its an easy one to remember if you remember that you cry out when you scream. Transforming it into the past, present, or future tense requires a verb conjugation and a quick lesson will show you how its done. Conjugating the French Verbà Crier The conjugations of French verbsà are a little complicated. You must, of course, change the ending to match the tense, but theres also a new ending used for each subject pronoun. That means you have more words to commit to memory. The good news is thatà crierà is aà regular -ER verbà and it follows a very common verb conjugation pattern. The infinitive endings you see here are the same youll find in conjugations ofà crà ©erà (to create),à fà ¢cherà (to make angry), and countless other verbs. To study these conjugations, pair the subject pronoun with the proper tense. For instance, I shout is je crie and we will scream is nous crierons Practicing these in various contexts will help with your memorization. Subject Present Future Imperfect je crie crierai criais tu cries crieras criais il crie criera criait nous crions crierons criions vous criez crierez criiez ils crient crieront criaient The Present Participle of Crier Adding -antà to the verb stemà cri-à creates theà present participleà criant. This is a verb, of course, though you may also use it as an adjective, gerund, or noun in some circumstances. The Past Participle and Passà © Composà © Theà passà © composà ©Ã is another form of the past tense. It requires theà past participleà crià ©, which is attached to the subject pronoun and a conjugation ofà avoirà (anà auxiliary, or helping, verb). Putting the passà © composà © together is rather simple: I screamed becomes jai crià © and we shouted is nous avons crià ©. More Simple Crierà Conjugations The subjunctive verb form is used when the action of shouting is questionable, subjective, or uncertain. Similarly, the conditional verb form implies that the action may not happen unless something else happens. Primarily found in literature, you may not use the passà © simple nor the imperfect subjunctive yourself. However, you should be able to recognize them as a form ofà crier. Subject Subjunctive Conditional Pass Simple Imperfect Subjunctive je crie crierais criai criasse tu cries crierais crias criasses il crie crierait cria crit nous criions crierions crimes criassions vous criiez crieriez crites criassiez ils crient crieraient crirent criassent A very useful form ofà crierà is the imperative verb form. This is used for exclamations and when using it, you can skip the subject pronoun: use crie rather than tu crie. Imperative (tu) crie (nous) crions (vous) criez

African American History Since 1877 (PT 3) - Essay Example Some slaves escaped and others worked for their freedom during the slave era. Even then freedom only meant not being owned. African Americans could not receive the same education as whites. They could not socialize with whites. Jobs were limited to them. Freedom was not really free. After the Civil War, slavery ended. However, Jim Crow laws forced segregation between blacks and whites. African Americans could not drink from the same water fountains, sit on the same park benches, go to the same school, sit together in restaurants, and could not intermingle. Rules forced African Americans to the back of the bus. African Americans could not vote, or had to pass a reading test to vote. Many whites thought segregation was equal, but segregation was not equal. The Supreme Court ruled that segregation was not equal. This did not change the minds of white people, especially in the Southern States. Other than the Jim Crow laws, the KKK and other groups limited the freedom of African Americans. If an African American was perceived as out of line, KKK or white supremacist would burn crosses on African Americanââ¬â¢s yards, beat them, or even lynch them. As a result, many African Americans were afraid to exercise their limited freedom. Fear allowed them to be kept virtual slaves to their white neighbors. During the Civil Rights Movement, Jim Crow laws started to be overturned. Even though Jim Crow laws started to be overturned, some whites did not share the opinion of the courts. Activists, black and white, trying to register people to vote, or fight for African American rights, were harassed, beaten, and even killed. Once again fear kept African Americans from freedom, but hope and defiance kept the movement going to provide more freedoms. Today, legally African Americans enjoy equal freedoms with their white counterparts. That does not mean that everyone follows the law. In American, everyone is entitled to on opinion.
